  • Featured Employer

McMaster-Carr is a growing, successful leader in the distribution of over 435,000 different products used to maintain facilities, solve problems, and fuel the imagination. Their fast-paced and modern environment is characterized by a diversity of people, products and responsibilities. Contact us to have your organization become our next featured employer.
  • Featured Extern Sponsor

The Extern Program is a welcome opportunity for Kenyon students to learn and explore careers off the Hill. This year, the Career Development Office recognizes Alum John Hays, K'82, who, as Deputy Chairman/Art Auctioneer at Christie's, has served as an Extern Sponsor for 20 years, allowing students to shadow him. Thanks, John, for volunteering in this way!

  • Get Involved

Would you like to help students explore their career options and make connections? Host a networking event in your city? Intern this summer? Maybe you've got an idea you'd like to discuss. The Career Development Office (CDO) is always looking for new ways to best serve our students. If this sounds like you, please contact us today.

The Kenyon Career Network

The Kenyon Career Network (KCN) is designed to assist students and graduates in making contacts with over 8,000 Kenyon alumni and parents who have volunteered to provide information about their careers, workplaces, geographic region, or the pursuit of advanced degrees.

KCN volunteers can help you with the following:

  • Learn more about the career fields that interest you.
  • Learn the procedures for applying for a job in a particular field.
  • Develop contacts with other professionals in a given industry.
  • Make contact with individuals who have the responsibility for interviewing and hiring candidates.
  • Gather practical information about living and working in a particular geographic area.
  • Become better informed about graduate and professional school options.
  • Become more comfortable with networking and "informational interviews."
  • Identify potential Extern Sponsors for 3-5 days of job shadowing.
In addition to providing advice and potential experience, alumni and parents can now use the KCN to post jobs and internships for current students and alumni.

This is an excellent opportunity to help students and other alumni with career-related decisions.
